Story behind the stuff - Demba Edition

I met Demba at a flea market in New Jersey. The market was a bit slow on this chilly November day, so he waited in his car in the heat until I approached. He welcomed me to his table and described each piece with from his amazing collection (swipe for the full table scape) with such passion and detail. The sea glass beads were my favorite - I can picture them adding texture and color to any space. He described how they were made by his family in Ghana and how he spends his seasons selling at different markets throughout the East Coast. I left the market with some fabulous products for the shop, his contact information for reorders (hoping you all love these as much as I do) and a bright spot in my day, thanks to Demba.

Pieces like this are exactly what we hope to bring to life at The Mustache Cat - ones that tell a story. Sure, you can buy similar looking decor from a big box store or online marketplace - we think the story, passion, product, and people are what make these additions to your home so special. We're looking forward to sharing more modern products like this with you to compliment your space so soon!
