This One Officially Takes The Cake

This #storybehindthestuff officially takes the cake 🍰  Combining some of our favorite things: an amazing history, giving back, rock n’ roll, an unexpected sized piece, and vintage advertising - this one has it all! 

We found this Duncan Hines store display and fell in love with the oversized cake. When we learned it was signed by  @cheaptrickrick Rick Nielsen of the band Cheap Trick, we knew it couldn’t get much better! 

It was signed, auctioned for charity, purchased by an antique dealer in Minneapolis and sold a few times in between before landing at our shop in Saint Paul - we have loved having this piece adorn our wall 🙌

Super honored to share the story with folks who admired the piece during a visit to the shop and even more excited to pass the piece to write the next chapter ✏️
