Somebody Pinch Me!
Please pinch me. Earlier this week I had the opportunity to be on Minnesota Live with Megan Newquist and Chris Egert to chat about all things Vintage Fall Crawl.
I had no idea what to expect and was full of all kinds of emotions heading into the studio (primarily nerves and excitement), and a full brain. I prepped all kinds of talking points about the crawl, how we came up with the idea, the products we brought to showcase, and a super eloquent story about what we do at The Mustache Cat - but honestly, after the first question (which I had an idea they would ask) I spoke from my incredibly unscripted heart (as cheesy as that sounds ).
It was so easy to talk with Megan and Chris - they made telling our broader community about what we’re doing feel like a chat I’d have 1:1 with a friend or folks in the shop. They are true professionals (which I’m sure is something anyone who watches them regularly would agree with) and made me feel so comfortable. It also makes it easier when you’re passionate and excited about something - though I should definitely share that doing a segment live with all the lights and cameras was like nothing I’ve ever experienced (maybe not the best day to rock natural deodorant).
So thankful for the opportunity to chat about this space, community, and all the other good things we do together. Here is the link to see the segment in all its glory.
It was such an honor to represent the 12 fabulous businesses and share more about what we’re doing together to uplift women owned small businesses while raising much appreciated funds for Women’s Advocates
