Saying Goodbye to Corporate 2 years ago leads to saying more โyes today!
Two years ago , I gave notice at my corporate job. I was so excited to leave behind the very โcorporateโ aspects of my full time job and jump on the small business ownership train ๐
One year ago, I was sadly saying โnoโ to anything outside our Saint Paul storefront - missing important life events (like my sisterโs engagement party, back in the East Coast) and business opportunities (like markets, here around the Twin Cities). At the time, it was just me (and a bunch of unpaid support) making this dream of mine a reality, and I found myself wishing I could be in two places at the same time ๐ฏโโ๏ธ
โฉ Fast forward to today, we are re-introducing some of my favorite corporate exercises, have an amazing crew of folks working at The Mustache Cat and an unbelievable community of humans supporting the business in person AND online!
Perhaps even more exciting - I have been able to say more โYESโ! I recently traveled to a college softball alumni weekend, visited London with friends to celebrate a wedding, and enjoyed my sisterโs wedding in New Jersey - all while the shop was open and running so smoothly. We also signed on to do our first market - weโll be at the Cat Video Festival at CHS Field this year.๐
From running away from all things corporate to embracing the good I learned along the way or from feeling the need to clone myself to feeling like a superwoman who can seemingly be in two places at once - this growth and progress feels pretty special ๐
It wouldnโt be possible without you - the community that continues to grow with us, or the crew - that continues to ride this crazy train with me ๐งก
