The Mustache Cat at the Minnesota State Fair

Peace ✌️ Love 🧡 and The Mustache Cat 🙌 proudly on display

This year was our first submission to the Minnesota State Fair and we couldn’t be more proud! 🙌

It was a really special way for us to participate in the community. We got to bring together our love for vintage, modern, and woman-made in our Scarecat!

There were some submission specifications for the making of the scare crow, and one of our favorites was using local materials. From the all MN beer cans, to the vintage rocking chair (movement and shiny objects scare crows), to the locally sourced straw and dried florals, and to our bestselling catnip mustache - we got to have so much fun with this one!

Big shout out and thank you to some of our favorite folks, Amy Bonewell and Erin Strey, and the whole Mustache Cat team for bringing this to life! From the initial, magical, planning and creative session to spray painting hay in my backyard (and of course, the sneak peek of the seed art when we dropped off our submission), this was an incredible experience, and we hope to find another way to participate in the future, so keep an eye out!

We were so excited to see your sightings, and would LOVE to see more if you have them to share. This beauty was nestled inside the Agriculture building right by Sky Ride, and while it didn’t place for a ribbon (this time!), it is a blue ribbon winner in our hearts.

We miss it already! 🧡
